The annual Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Spaghetti Dinner will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Aurora High School from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Dinners include spaghetti, beverages and dessert, along with one ticket for the Chinese raffle. Tickets are available at all Aurora School Buildings, the Board of Education Office and from members of the PTO. The flyer below provides additional information about the dinner.

HARMON SCHOOL AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE ~ February 24, 2017 Red Blood Drop with Blood Drive Wording

The Harmon School BETA Club is sponsoring their annual American Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, February 24, 2017.  It will take place at Harmon School in the Commons.  If parents or relatives sign up to donate blood, students can earn Data Assignments, Bio Bucks or Tickets by returning the form given by teachers.  Please help someone during this blood emergency by taking the time to give the gift of life.

Come rock out for After Prom!  The After Prom Committee is sponsoring a School of Rock Fundraiser, featuring the band The Don Kennis Experience, that supports the AHS After Prom 2017.  The concert will take place on Friday, February 24th from 9:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. at the Bertram's Paws restaurant. HARMON/HIGH PTO MOTHER SON DINNER DANCE ~ February 25, 2017 Mother and Son Dancing Together with Hearts and Musical Notes Behind Them

The Harmon/High PTO is holding their first Mother/Son Dinner Dance on February 25, 2017 at the Aurora High School for students in grades Pre-K-5. Dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m. and the dance will take place from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. 

Tickets are $15 per person and $10 for each additional child.  Please send in cash or checks (payable to Harmon High PTO) to your school office by February 15, 2017.

All pre-K through 5th grade princesses are cordially invited to attend the National Honor Society Princess Prom accompanied by their King or Queen.  The ball will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.  Please RSVP by March 3, 2017.  This year the ball is proudly sponsored in part by Allstate Integrity Insurance Agency and Aurora Rose Dance Academy.

AURORA ORCHESTRA ASSOCIATION’S ANNUAL STEAK N’ STRINGS BENEFIT DINNER, CONCERT AND RAFFLE ~ March 4, 2017 Aurora Orchestra Association Logo with black orchestra

Join the Aurora Orchestra Association on March 4, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m. for raffle viewing) at Aurora High School for a delicious Outback Steak House dinner.  The Macedonia Outback Steak House will provide and cook your meal on-site which will include their 9 oz. steak (or Salmon) with sides, drinks and cheesecake.  A kid’s meal choice will also be available.  Entertainment will be provided by the AHS orchestras.  Presale tickets are required with an order deadline of February 11th by mail and February 18th online.  No tickets will be sold at the door.  Dinner ticket proceeds go toward the AOA general fund and benefit all orchestra students in grades 4-12.

Raffle items will also be available to win, including tickets to concerts, golf outings, vacation packages and much more.  Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for raffle viewing and the raffle proceeds will benefit the AOA general fund.

In addition, there will be dozens of fantastic themed raffle baskets including candy, toy and craft baskets for the kids as well as date night out and concert ticket baskets for the adults. 
They will also have some incredible family vacation packages including a trip for four to Walt Disney World, with airfare and hotel!

The Aurora High School’s Service Learning Class solicited area businesses to find a venue that would be willing to display an array of beautiful photographs of homelessness from the 2100 Lakeside Men’s Shelter.  The Twinsburg Public Library agreed to hang The Portraits of Homelessness exhibit which can be viewed at the library during the month of February.


In accordance with the Aurora City School District’s Procedures for Emergency School Closing, the use of a delayed school opening may be utilized in the event of inclement weather.  As with school closings, the announcement of a school opening delay will be broadcast on television and radio stations and this announcement could begin as early as 5:00 a.m. To view each school buildings delayed start class schedules and the transportation adjustments that will be made when a two-hour delay is implemented, please click on the “Read More” link below.
