SENIOR COMMENCEMENT 2018 INFORMATION Graduation Cap with Green Tassle

Commencement Practice is Thursday May 24, 2018 @9:00 a.m. at Parkside.  All graduates planning to participate must attend practice.  Seniors will be dismissed to the Senior Picnic at Sunny Lake Park (rain or shine).  Volunteers and food/drink donations are needed. Commencement Ceremony is May 24, 2018, 7:00 p.m. at Parkside.  Seating will begin at 5:45 p.m. This is a ticketed event so please remember your tickets which will be collected at the door.  Seniors must be at Parkside no later than 6:20 p.m. wearing caps and gowns.

AURORA HIGH SCHOOL ANNUAL SENIOR BREAKFAST ~ May 21, 2018 Senior Breakfast in Blue

Reminder to Senior Students - Don’t forget to attend the breakfast at Aurora High School for our graduating seniors and guests on the morning of Monday, May 21, 2018. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. with the assembly following at approximately 8:15 a.m.  You will receive information about baccalaureate and commencement services; honors diplomas and awards are announced; caps, gowns and commencement tickets are distributed.

SENIOR BACCALAUREATE SERVICE ~ May 22, 2018 Baccalaureatte Service

A non-denominational BACCALAUREATE CELEBRATION SERVICE arranged by the Aurora Pastor’s Fellowship will be held for all of our graduating high school seniors and their families beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.  The service will take place at the Cornerstone Church of Aurora located at 79 E Mennonite Rd, Aurora, OH 44202No tickets are required. Attendance is optional.  Church appropriate dress is required. Caps and gowns are not worn.


PRESCHOOL GRADUATION ~ May 23, 2018 Blue Graduation  Cap with Preschool written in yellow

The Aurora City School District’s youngest graduates in preschool will be holding a graduation ceremony on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Miller School gymnasium.

HARMON SCHOOL 8th GRADE PROMOTION NIGHT ~ Wednesday, May 23, 2018 8th Grade Promotion and Celebration with Colorful Balloons and Stars

Harmon School 8th Grade students and families are invited to attend the 8th Grade Promotion Night on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.  It will take place at 7:00 p.m. at Aurora High School.

This is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on time spent at Harmon and a great send-off for our incoming freshmen class at Aurora High School.

AURORA SCHOOLS' BOYS’ GOLF PROGRAM 4th ANNUAL GOLF OUTING ~ July 8, 2018 Join Our Golf Outing with Golf Club and Golf Ball

The Aurora Boys golf outing to benefit the AHS Boys Golf Program will include a day of golf, food and fun.  The four person scramble will take place at Gleneagles Golf Course in Twinsburg on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.  The registration deadline is July 1, 2018.  Contact Aurora Varsity Head Coach David Munson with any questions at 330-425-1283.

BE A CRADDOCK BLUE RIBBON READER THIS SUMMER Blue Ribbon

This summer Craddock students can be Blue Ribbon Readers.  All you have to do is complete a summer reading journal to track the number of minutes you spend reading or being read to.  Bring the completed journal back to school in the fall and receive a Blue Ribbon Reader Award and a special invitation to attend an Exclusive Blue Ribbon Reader Event on August 30, 2018.

SUMMER SCHOOL 2018 INFORMATION Summer School Varsity Letters in Blue and Yellow

The following are the classes/dates for AHS Summer School 2018.

 

SESSION I

Monday, June 4 – Friday, June 22, 2018

Health & Physical Education are being offered.

 

SESSION II

Monday, July 2 – Monday, July 23, 2018 (No Class on July 4th)

Personal Finance & Physical Education are being offered.

 

Class hours are 8:00 a.m. until noon and the cost is $150 per session.  REGISTRATION FORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON-LINE AND IN THE HIGH SCHOOL AND HARMON OFFICES AFTER SPRING BREAK (4/3/18)Deadline for registration is April 27, 2018.  Class offerings are contingent on sufficient enrollment.

Virtual Learning Curriculum Courses are also being offered during the same dates at two different time slots: 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and noon – 3:00 p.m. They require counselor approval.  Cost is $100 per session and enrollment is on a first come first served basis.  Deadline for registration is May 31, 2018.

Payment should be attached to the registration form.   Please make checks payable to Aurora City Schools.
