13 REASONS WHY NETFLIX SERIES RESOURCES 13 Reasons Why Series Image of Boy with headphones on

A new series was recently released by Netflix titled 13 Reasons Why.  This series has drawn national attention because of the content of the series.  This show focuses on a young girl who commits suicide, but sends messages to the 13 people who she feels contributed to her decision to take her own life.  The series is based upon the book by Jay Asher.  Because of the serious subject matter, I am encouraging all parents to be aware of this series and the potential emotional impact it could have on young adults.

Click on “Read More” below for some tips as well as resources for parents about the serious topics covered in this series.
