The PTO sponsors educational events for students and parents; in cooperation with the Board of Education, supply materials and supplies for teachers and students; conduct Book Fairs; organize fundraising activities; sponsor student/parent breakfasts and supply hospitality for school events and meetings; sell school logo spirit wear; award student scholarships; and sponsor the annual Spaghetti Dinner.

PTO Committee Descriptions:
Book Fair: (Fall/Spring) Volunteer your time during the Book Fair at Harmon. We can use help in setting up, tearing down, or by helping at the Book Fair during morning, afternoon or evening shifts.
Book Store: Help us sell supplies and Spirit Wear at the High School Greenmen Bookstore located in the cafeteria during the lunch periods. We can use you once a week, every other week, or monthly.
Box Tops: Assist by collecting and preparing Box Tops for Education.
Flower Sale: (May) Volunteer for a time slot to help sell flowers for our 2-day sale.
Heinen’s: (Fall) Promote and help with sign-up or renewal for the Heinen’s Program.
Heinen's ABC Program: Heinen's contributes 1% of all purchases made between September 1, 2007 and April 30, 2008. If you register for the ABC program before December 15, you will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to Heinen's. The drawing will be January 7, 2008.
Help with Events: Assist in various events throughout the year as needed.
Hospitality: Make desserts or food items for various functions throughout the year.
PTO Directory: (Fall) Help by typing up information in our directory format.
Quiz Bowl: (Fall) Sell pizza and drinks during the lunch break.
Spaghetti Dinner: (March) Assist the School Board in setting up, serving and/or cleaning up at the Spaghetti Dinner.
Spirit Wear Committee: Help sell spirit wear at various school functions.
Staff Appreciation Dinner and Luncheons: Assist in setting up, making food, serving food and/or cleaning up for our staff dinner or luncheons.
Volunteer “911”: Help out with “last minute” needs or events.
Welcome Committee: Assist in organizing or delivering “welcome packets” to our new Harmon and High School families.
Yearbook Committee: Help with assembling the Harmon yearbook.
Help Students in the Media Center: (Harmon) These volunteers with assist/monitor students in the Media Center before school, at lunchtime and after school with homework, projects, etc.
