Jr. High OMEA Solo and Ensemble Registration form and other lists
OMEA has a “recommended” suggested list of music, however students can perform any piece that is within their difficulty level that they wish (no Disney or pop music please).

REQUIRED SCALES - Each student must be prepared to perform one scale from the following list:
Piano - two octaves, hands together from the following: D, F, Bb, G, D.
Strings - One octave, from the following: C, G, D, A, F.

Students who are interested in participating must sign up through Mr. Burdett, even if they are
preparing a piece with their private instructor. Students must provide their own transportation to and
from the event. OMEA will send the instructor the time of each student’s performance one-week
before the event. Please be prepared to perform at any time the day of the event. Students who
have an unavoidable conflict and must request a specific time (i.e. Morning or afternoon) should see Mr.
Burdett.

Students are encouraged to perform with piano accompaniment when possible. This greatly enhances the quality of the performance.
Mr. Nabring is NOT AVAILABLE to accompany this year. However Mrs. Dixon (H.S. Choral Director) is available and has agreed to do it at the same rate. She can be reached at
