Private Lessons Information

Taking private lessons is an excellent way for you to become a better performer on your instrument.  Each week, you will spend about a half an hour alone with your private teacher working on the techniques YOU need to work on.  Whether you are an advanced player or needing to “catch up” a little, private teachers will definitely make you a better player – as long as you practice what they tell you.  Please understand that no one is required to take private lessons.

The Aurora School of Music here in town is one of the best opportunities available to Aurora orchestra students.  The teachers there are well trained and highly educated instructors.  Give them a call (330-995-0809) or see their web site (www.auroraschoolofmusic.com) for more information.  Other options for private lessons in the surrounding community are listed below:

Woodsy’s Music in Kent 1-800-468-1525

Academy Music (440) 248-1745

The Cleveland Music Settlement  (216) 421-5806

“Remind” texting

We use "Remind" to send out short messages to parents and students through either text or email.  To receive messages via text, text @leightono to 81010.  This is only a five digit phone number.  You can opt-out of messages at any time by replying, 'unsubscribe @leightono'. Trouble using 81010? Try texting @leightono to (330)529-5739 instead.  To receive messages via email, send an email to leightono@mail.remind.com. To unsubscribe, reply with 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. Remind is a free, safe, and simple messaging tool that helps teachers share important updates and reminders with students & parents. Subscribe by text, email or using the Remind app. All personal information is kept private. Teachers will never see your phone number, nor will you see theirs. Visit remind.com to learn more.

"Sign Up Genius"

Throughout the course of the year the Orchestra program will need your help.  We are in the process of setting up our volunteer sign up program through "Sign Up Genius."  Once active you will get a notification through the Remind texting service letting you know you can go here to sign up.  Your time is greatly appreciated.
