Eddie Nabring's Contact:

Mr. Nabring is in his sixteenth year of teaching, all in the Aurora City Schools.  He is certified to teach music and art, K-12, and has a Bachelor's Degree from Miami University.  He has studied voice, piano, trombone, viola, and cello and has performed in vocal chorales, musical theater productions (both on stage and in pit orchestras,) concert bands, orchestras, jazz ensembles, and on piano at various solo competitions.  Mr. Nabring currently teaches 4th and 5th Grade Orchestra at Leighton Elementary School and is the Marching Band and Concert Band Director at Aurora HIgh School.  After school, he is a member of the directing team, along with Mr. Rob Albrecht, for both the Harmon Middle School Musical and the High School Spring Musical.

            Due to Thursday's snow day, we will have the 5th Grade Orchestra rehearsal originally scheduled for Thursday at 8:00 a.m. on Friday morning in the Leighton Cafeteria.  Hopefully the schedule will remain the same for both of next week's rehearsals.  Thank you for your flexibility.



Concert Rehearsal Announcement

            Please record the following dates for mandatory rehearsals so the kids can prepare for their upcoming concert.  Further details as well as concert details are forthcoming.  You only need to come to the rehearsals for your grade.  Everyone (including Cellos and Basses) will need to bring their own instruments.


Tues. 12/13 8-9 am  4th Grade Orchestra (before school, arrive ten minutes early)

Thur. 12/15 8-9 am  5th Grade Orchestra  (before school, arrive ten minutes early)

Mon.  12/19  9:15-10:40  4th Grade Orchestra (during school)

Tues.  12/20  9:15-10:40  5th Grade Orchestra (during school)

            Throughout the course of the year the Orchestra program will need your help.  We are in the process of setting up our volunteer sign up program through "Sign Up Genius."  Once active you will get a notification through the Remind texting service letting you know you can go here to sign up.  Your time is greatly appreciated.
