AURORA ORCHESTRA MARKS 20TH ANNIVERSARY WITH A CELEBRATION AOA Logo

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Aurora Orchestra.   As a part of our celebration we are inviting all Aurora Orchestra Alumni to play with the high school orchestra at our Winter Concert on December 15, 2017.   We will continue the celebration after the concert with a reception for alumni with the location to be determined.  If you are interested in participating in either event, please click on the signup genius button listed below.

AOA FIVE BELOW STORE FUNDRAISER ~ November 24-26, 2017 Five Below Logo in Blue

The Aurora Orchestra Association will be holding a fundraiser at the Five Below store at the Marketplace at Four Corners in Bainbridge on November 24-26. 2017.  During the fundraising dates/times 10% of your total dollars spent by the organization will be donated back to the AOA.   Please bring the flyer with more information linked below to the event so that the AOA receives credit for the purchase.

ODE NEW HONORS DIPLOMA CRITERIA ~ Available to the Class of 2021 Honors Diploma with Graduation Hat

Ohio students now have the opportunity to pursue one of several honors diplomas.  New Honors Diploma criteria are available to the class of 2021.  These criteria will replace the current Honors Diploma criteria.  Honors Diplomas can now be earned in the following categories:  Academic, Career Tech, STEM, Arts, Social Science and Civic Engagement.

Students in the class of 2018, 2019, and 2020 have the option to use the existing Honors Diploma criteria OR the new Honors Diploma criteria.  More information and a list of criteria can be found at: ODE Honors Diplomas

Graduation announcements customized for Aurora High School Class of 2018 are available for purchase now through December 31, 2017. Orders may be placed via mail using the Josten's information packet or online at Jostens.com. For orders placed after December 31, 2017, there is no guarantee that you will receive our custom class announcement. There is a photo HERE of this year's announcement that will be printed in green and silver.


LOCAL CABLE 9 PROGRAMMING MOVING CHANNELS Cable 9 logo

As Spectrum Cable completes its move from analog to complete digital service, the channel for Cable 9 has moved to channel 1021.  Programming for local city channels have also moved.  The cities of Aurora, Macedonia, Northfield Center, Reminderville, and Twinsburg Township can be found at Channel 1023, while Sagamore Hills and Twinsburg can now be seen on Channel 1022.  You can also watch Cable 9 programming, including the Aurora Schools’ Spotlight on Aurora Schools show, online at cable9.org.
