Due to continued high breakage of Chromebook computers and the challenge of having enough extras on hand, it is necessary to slightly change our Chromebook policy with respect to replacements. Beginning in the 2nd Semester, student-caused breakages beyond the first break will require the student to wait until their Chromebook is repaired and returned, which could be a week to two weeks. Student-caused breaks include incidents such as; dropping the Chromebook, leaving it in extreme weather (like the car in frigid or hot temperatures) or storing it in a backpack with other books which causes pressure and potentially cracked screens. On the other hand, issues such as a battery no longer working or the Chromebook ceasing to work properly will still result in the student being able to have an immediate replacement, while their Chromebook is repaired.
