AURORA SCHOOL DISTRICT QUALITY PROFILE RELEASED

The Aurora City School District has released a comprehensive “Quality Profile” companion document to the Ohio Department of Education’s School District Report Card.  This “Quality Profile” features measures that help define what a quality public education looks like for our community which are not included in the State Report Card.  This was done in conjunction with area school districts and is supported by the Alliance for High Quality Education, an education consortium that works to improve educational opportunities for students and to speak for member districts on matters of educational policy and funding.

The content of this Quality Profile examines in greater depth those qualities that our community deems important for a high quality public education based on our Strategic Planning Committee recommendations and recent Community Survey. The profile content includes six categories:  Academics, Arts, Student Leadership and Activities, Fiscal Stewardship, Parent and Community Involvement and Student Services.  This document allows us to highlight these programs and reflect their community importance.

As the Quality Profile is being released statewide for the first time by a consortium of districts, it is our intention to continually update the document in order to keep residents informed and knowledgeable about our district’s educational priorities.  It will be added under “Quick Links” on our district homepage and can also be found here.

NEWSWEEK’S DAILY BEAST RANKS AURORA HIGH SCHOOL HIGH IN TOP HIGH SCHOOLS 2014
